Check the view to the satellite
This only checks hills and land. It assumes nothing close by is in the way, such as trees, roofs or walls. Here the satellite sits about 30° above the horizon, so anything tall and close matters.
Choose your mount
The antenna is made for outdoors. Glass weakens the signal a lot, even a single pane, so mount it outside if you can.
Through glass, expect a weaker signal. If you can mount it outside, do.

Eaves stick out past the wall. Follow the line where the wall meets the ground, or the window itself.
South, and up
Across Canada the satellite sits about 30° above the southern horizon. A south-facing outside wall with open sky is ideal.
