Regulatory certifications

Every Canaro device ships with the radio and EMC certifications required for sale and operation in Canada and the United States.

FCC Part 15 Certified under U.S. FCC Part 15, Subpart B (unintentional radiators) and Subpart C (intentional radiators for cellular, BLE, and LoRa transmitters), confirming the device meets U.S. limits for radio-frequency emissions.
ISED Canada Certified to the applicable Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) RSS standards for sale and operation in Canada, including RSS-247 for licence-exempt radios and RSS-Gen for general radio compliance.
UL / CSA safety Power supplies and any components subject to North American product-safety regulations are UL- or CSA-listed where required, including for ETL- or NRTL-recognized variants.
Carrier certification Cellular hubs are certified for use on the carrier networks they operate on, with PTCRB or carrier-specific approvals where required.

EMI / EMC testing

Hardware is tested for unintended electromagnetic interference across hubs, Add-Ons, and accessories.

Conducted emissions Verified against FCC Part 15 / CISPR 32 limits for emissions conducted on the AC power line, ensuring the device doesn't introduce noise into the customer's electrical system.
Radiated emissions Tested in an accredited anechoic chamber for unintended RF emissions across the regulatory frequency range. Each unit ships only after passing this test.

Manufacturing & quality

Every Canaro device, hub or Add-On, is assembled and tested before it leaves Saskatchewan.

Made in Saskatchewan Toccata Inc. is headquartered in Saskatoon. Final assembly and quality testing happen in our facility before shipping.
End-of-line testing Every unit undergoes a documented end-of-line test (power-on diagnostics, radio self-test, sensor calibration check, and a network round-trip) before being packed.
Unique device identity Each device is provisioned with a unique device certificate at the factory, used for mutual TLS authentication to the cloud; no shared credentials, no impersonation.
Firmware integrity Firmware updates are delivered over authenticated channels and verified before installation. Devices reject unsigned or tampered images.
Traceability Production batches and serial numbers are tracked so any field issue can be traced back to specific components and firmware revisions.
